Porcelain Fixed Bridges
Restore Your Smile with Porcelain Bridges in Suisun & Fairfield, CA
At Antonio Zarate DDS in Fairfield, CA, we offer high-quality dental bridges as a reliable, fixed (non-removable) solution to replace one or more missing teeth. Dental bridges help restore your smile, maintain facial shape, and improve chewing and speaking functionality.
There are several types of dental bridges available, and Dr. Zarate will work with you to determine the most appropriate option for your unique needs. The most common type is the traditional dental bridge, typically made of porcelain fused to metal. These bridges are favored for their natural appearance and strength, as the porcelain closely mimics the look of real teeth.
A traditional bridge includes two crowns placed over healthy anchoring teeth (also known as abutment teeth), which support one or more artificial teeth (pontics) to fill the gap left by missing teeth. This design ensures a secure and natural-looking result.
With proper care, dental bridges from Antonio Zarate DDS are highly durable and can last many years. Over time, they may require re-cementing or replacement due to normal wear. Regular check-ups and good oral hygiene are essential for maximizing the lifespan of your dental bridge.
If you're in Fairfield, CA, and exploring tooth replacement options, schedule a consultation with Dr. Antonio Zarate today to learn how a custom dental bridge can restore your confidence and oral health.

What does getting a fixed bridge involve?
Getting a bridge usually requires two or more visits. While the teeth are numb, the two anchoring teeth are prepared by removing a portion of enamel to allow for a crown. Next, a highly accurate impression (mold) is made which will be sent to a dental laboratory where the bridge will be fabricated. In addition, a temporary bridge will be made and worn for several weeks until your next appointment.
At the second visit, you permanent bridge will be carefully checked, adjusted, and cemented to achieve a proper fit. Occasionally your dentist may only temporarily cement the bridge, allowing your teeth and tissue time to get used to the new bridge. The new bridge will be permanently cemented at a later time.
You will receive care instructions at the conclusion of your treatment. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new permanent bridge.
